Paddleboarders Compete Sunday in Round the Rock Race

The biggest Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) race in the Pacific Northwest on Sunday raised money for Seattle Children's Hospital and the local Seattle chapter of the Surfrider Foundation.

The 21st Century Facilities Planning Committee heard concerns Sept. 6 on four possible bond options from the public in a bid to maintain school district buildings and infrastructure over the next 50 years.

Police Blotter: Nude Sunbather Arrested for Indecent Exposure

Mercer Island Police Blotter, Aug. 23 - Sept. 5.

The city was forced to settle the case brought by a former employee and paid an additional $185,000 sanction, including attorney's fees, for violating the Public Records Act.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 15

Locals from Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue and Mercer Island throw their support to Hague.

Debbie Bertlin and El Jahncke appeared together at a Rotary Club of Mercer Island meeting to talk about the issues they see as the focal points of their race for City Council Position 7.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 16

The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center as a precaution with no obvious sign of injury.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 17

A balanced Mercer Island attack, penalties and three interceptions all played a role in the Islanders win.
