Where Will You be on 11/11/11?

Tomorrow, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., the Honor Guard from Lake Washington VFW Post #2995, based in Redmond, will hold a Veterans day Ceremony at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.

, meanwhile, will offer a remembrance and share stories in an informal gathering of family and friends from noon to 2 p.m. Later in the evening, the Varsity Football team is scheduled to attend a celebration beginning at 9:30pm. According to the VFW, "players, parents, coaches, and fans welcome!"

Mercer Island VFW members will also be out this weekend at and offering “” to raise donations for the VFW Veterans Relief Fund.

Local businesses also are offering specials to mark the occasion, such as , which is hosting a buffet lunch for all Veterans. There are three seatings; 11:30 a.m., 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. For more information and reservations call 232-7878.
