1 Killed After Tacoma Motel Shooting

TACOMA, WA — One man has died after a shooting in a Tacoma motel room, according to police.

The Tacoma Police Department reports that, just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, they were called to a shooting at a motel in the 8800 block of S Hosmer St.

When they arrived, police say officers found one man inside the room, wounded and unresponsive. Officers say they tried CPR to resuscitate him, and called for medics who took him to a nearby hospital. However, he died sometime after arrival.

Detectives and the forensics team have both swept the crime scene, trying to determine what happened leading up to the deadly shooting. So far, however, police have not released any information on any potential suspects or motives behind the shooting.
