If your child is determined to be a close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19, you will be notified by phone*, email, and text. For administrative efficiencies, families will receive an automated (private) message informing them of the exposure, return to school date, and that the school will be following up with distance learning plans.  Families will receive additional information by the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.

Families with children who attend a school where a student has tested positive will receive a ‘no-contact’ notification.  This proactive communication is to provide transparency and remind families about mitigation measures to prevent disease transmission.

*Phone calls will be made between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. only.
