Puyallup School District: School Board Approves New Teacher Agreement

The Puyallup School Board unanimously approved a new
multi-year collective bargaining agreement with the Puyallup Education
Association (PEA) at the Sept. 7 meeting. The new three-year agreement
was overwhelmingly ratified on August 31 by PEA members, which represents
approx. 1480 Puyallup teachers, counselors, and other non-supervisory
certificated employees.

“We truly appreciate our collaborative partnership with
PEA. We value our teachers and certified staff and the tremendous work they do
every day in support of our students. This 3-year agreement provides
collaborative stability while we continue to focus on serving our students and
families during this time of continued change.” said Amie Brandmire,
Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.

The current agreement expired Aug. 31. The new
3-year agreement is Sept. 1, 2021 – Aug. 31, 2024.
