Puyallup Sued By Shaw Road Warehouse Developer: Report

As the News Tribune reports, this is the third time developer Viking JV LLC has sued the city.

PUYALLUP, WA — The developer behind the Shaw Road warehouse is suing the city of Puyallup over fees related to their developments, according to a new report from The News Tribune.

As the News Tribune explains, Developer Viking JV LLC's lawsuit argues the city should reimburse the company for their work building sewer lines and a lift station — both built for Viking's development, but which could also benefit future developments in the area.

Previously the city had considered a so-called "latecomer's agreement" to pay Viking for that sewer construction, the lawsuit is an attempt to push that agreement through.
