Hancock's Bakery, Redmond Chamber Cruise to Round 2 in March Can Madness Competition

Two Redmond teams top the field of eight remaining competitors following Round 2 of ’s food drive competition to help stock the agency’s food banks. The single-elimination competition continues through March 30.
collected 1,034 pounds last week for a score of 295.43, eliminating , which brought in 60 pounds. Giving the defending champs a run for their money was , which brought in 638 pounds for a score of 212.66, knocking out (272 pounds).
180 Degrees Chiropractic eliminated Roos Orthodontics and faces Hancock’s Bakery in Round 3. knocked out and takes on the Redmond chamber this week.

The 16 businesses competing in the second week of the contest collected a total of 4,520 pounds of food and $788 in cash, bringing the total for the campaign so far to 9,455 pounds and $1,878.
Hopelink’s third-annual competition is patterned after the national spring college basketball tournament, matching businesses in weekly contests to see which one can bring in the most food. Teams are bracketed together in pairs and one winner from each 2-member bracket advances to the following week.
