The selections mark the first time since the awards were first made in Washington state in 1987 that as many as 14 local student-athletes have been named All-American or All-American Honorable Mention in a single year.

Student-athletes named to the US Lacrosse All-American Team are considered the best high school lacrosse players in the United States. To be honored, student-athletes must be an All-State selection, must be in good standing at his or her school, and must exhibit sportsmanship on and off the field.
