Redmond Rotary Honors December Students of the Month

students Rachel Kim and Aron Daw have been named Rotary Club of Redmond's students of the month for December.

Rotary President Steve Bozick made the presentation at the club's most recent meeting on Dec. 15 at the .

Rachel Kim, a senior, is passionate about her cello playing, the club learned. She is principal cellist of the Mustang Symphony and a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Kim has been selected as outstanding musician of the year and as outstanding student of the year at Redmond High School and has volunteered with the University of Washington Medical Center, among other volunteer activities. She plans to attend college and medical school and hopes to have a career in pediatric medicine.

Aron Daw, a junior, is active in tennis, drama and music and is a member of the National Honor Society. He has engaged in many service activities through his church and his involvement in Boys Scouts. He will major in physics or applied mathematics with computer applications in college and plans to go on to graduate studies. He enjoys teaching and wants to have a career in college education.
