City to Host Fall Recycling and Collection Event This Saturday
Residents can drop off a variety of items, but TVs, computers and monitors must be taken to a separate location.
Redmond residents have the opportunity to recycle old electronics at a special fall collection event, set to take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 6, at the city's maintenance operation center, 18120 NE 76th St.
All electronic items except TVs, computers and monitors will be accepted at the maintenance center. Residents can drop off the other three kinds of items between the same time frame at Mitronics, 17455 NE 67th Court, #100.
Paper shredding will also be available at the event.

Hazardous materials will not be accepted at the maintenance center, but these items can be dropped off at the King County Wastemobile, which will be located at Home Depot all weekend.
Most items will be disposed of without charge, but participants are asked to donate two cans of food in exchange for the service. Click here for more specific information on accepted materials and event protocol.

Saturday's drop-off event is available for household use only. The maximum vehicle length is 10 feet, and commercial disposal of any kind will not be allowed.
