Grinding operations for the city's are set to begin today, and drivers can expect delays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. through Aug. 8. According to a <a href="http://www.redmond.gov/cms/One.aspx?portalId=169&amp;pageId=81163" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">city news release</a>, the construction will affect eastbound lanes from now through Saturday, Aug. 4. Westbound lanes will be impacted from Monday, Aug. 6, through Wednesday, Aug. 8. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes on these dates.  At the same time, the City of Kirkland is scheduled to complete construction work west of 132nd Avenue Northeast, causing additional delays on Redmond Way. Paving is tentatively scheduled to take place on two Saturdays later this month—Aug. 11 and 18. All roadwork is dependent on weather conditions. The effort is part of a  that includes asphalt repair, resurfacing, and the replacement of road drainage pipes on Redmond Way between 132nd Avenue Northeast and Bear Creek Parkway.
