Cyclist Found Unresponsive on Sammamish River Trail Near Woodinville

Authorities from Woodinville Fire and Rescue have confirmed there was a death on the Sammamish River Trail this morning near Woodinville.

Authorities from Woodinville Fire and Rescue have confirmed there was a death on the Sammamish River Trail Sunday morning near Woodinville.

A 69-year-old man had been riding his bike on the trail just south of Redhook Brewery when he is believed to have collapsed, according to David Weed, community services officer for the department.

People using the trail came upon him at about 8:30 a.m., called 911 and began CPR. Emergency personnel arrived and continued trying to revive the man for about 30 minutes, but he never responded to any of their treatments, Weed said.
