Downtown Redmond Detour Begins For Light Rail Extension Work
A daytime detour will be in place for a portion of 166th Avenue Northeast as crews do utility work around the future light rail station.

REDMOND, WA — Work began Monday on a multi-week construction project that will bring the future Downtown Redmond light rail station one step closer to completion.
For the next few weeks, drivers should expect a daytime detour along 166th Avenue Northeast, which will direct vehicles around the Northeast 76th Street intersection. The daily closure will be in place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for approximately four weeks, according to Sound Transit.
Utility crews will use that time to complete several projects around the station.
