The Washington State Liquor Control Board has <a href="http://liq.wa.gov/pressreleases/phased-store-closure-release" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">announced phased-in closing dates</a> for its stores, including the downtown Redmond store, forced out of business by voter approval last November of Initiative 1183. The last day of business for the Redmond store, located at 16389 Redmond Way, will be Tuesday, May 29. Private liquor sales in Washington will become legal on June 1. Jeffrey Roh, who in a state auction, said he is currently in negotiations with the building's landlord and hopes to re-open the store sometime in June. The Redmond Ridge liquor store, meanwhile, is a contract location and has been approved for the state's new retail spirits license, according to state records.
