First Lady Pens Kitchen Garden Book, How Does Your Garden Grow?

Green is the new black.

Several decades ago, the First Lady’s fashion sense made the headlines; this week it’s Michelle Obama’s green thumb and the release of her new book, American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America.

Part autobiography and partly a gardening “how-to,” the book serves as an inspiration for healthy living, according to an article in the Huffington Post. There’s also a section with healthy recipes for homegrown herbs and produce.

The book even has its own Facebook page.
