REDMOND, WA — A fast-moving crew broke into five vehicles outside the bicycle track at Marymoor Park over Independence Day weekend, and the items stolen included a loaded handgun, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

A wallet stolen from another vehicle contained $800. Investigators said three suspects in a red Chevrolet Tahoe may also be linked to other break-ins reported in Kirkland and Woodinville around July 4.

"Detectives with the King County Sheriff's Office want each shattered window to be a reminder to leave nothing of value in your car," the sheriff's office wrote Tuesday. "Keep cash, electronics and other valuable[s] on your person or at home. For gunowners this responsibility is even greater."
