Umberger's six goals lifts Overlake past Mt. Si in boys' lacrosse

REDMOND—Colton Umberger scored six goals and Eric Risa scooped 18 ground balls to lead Overlake to a perfect 4 -0 record with an 11-8 boys high school lacrosse win over Mt. Si on March 21 at Redmond's .

The double-hat trick gave Umberger, a sophomore attackman, a career-best single game scoring performance. His previous top performance was four goals in a 2011 win over Lakeside.

Matt Mahrer, Blake Moorhead and Andrew Bottemiller all had two goals for Mt. Si.

Stankey hat trick leads Redmond past Liberty in boys' lacrosse

RENTON—Harrison Stankey delivered a hat trick to lead Redmond to a 7-5 boys' high school lacrosse win over Liberty on March 21 at Liberty High School in Renton.

The win evened the Mustangs record at 1-1, while Liberty slipped to 1-3.  Stankey, a senior attackman had seven ground balls and senior goaltender Austin Smith had four saves. Jeffrey Arnevick had a goal and seven ground balls and Peter Disney and nate Jarvis each had a goal and a ground ball for Liberty. Wyatt Johnson grabbed 13 ground balls to lead the Liberty defense.

Lakeside girls drop Overlake for third lacrosse win

SEATTLE—Annabel Bench netted five goals to lead Lakeside to its third win of the season with a 13-6 defeat of Overlake on March 21 at the Lakeside School in North Seattle. With a perfect 3-0 record, the Lions now move-on to a rematch of last year's state championship final with Bainbridge.

Lakeside scoring included goals from Kaylee Best, natalie Flx, Rebecca Long, Sammy McGanney and Alena Pilichowski.  Zoe Pinczower had three goals for the Owls.

Overlake drops Klahowya 17-8 in girls' lacrosse

REDMOND—Overlake powered to a 17-8 girls high school lacrosse win over Klahowya to even its record at 2-2 on March 23 at the Overlake School in Redmond.

Monsaas hat trick leads Lake Sammamish past Holy Names 

REDMOND—Claire Monsaas scored a hat trick to lead Lake Sammamish to an 11-3 girls' high school lacrosse win over Holy Names on March 23 at Marymoor Park in Redmond. The win was the second of the year for Lake Sammamish.

Lake Sammamish scored 10 in the first before settling down in the second with a solo goal.  Holy Names had two in the first and a solo goal in the final half. 

Wendy Dinier scored two and Katie Arthoffer had 15 saves for Holy Names.

Overlake girls triple-up on Wenatchee

REDMOND—Zoe Pinczower, Kerri Smith and Sarah Silverman all tallied hat tricks as Overlake tripled-up on Wenatchee in an 18-6 girls' high school lacrosse win on March 26 at The Overlake School in Redmond.

The win lifted the Owls to 3-2 in girls' varsity league play, while Wenatchee evened its record at 2-2.

Pinczower had four assists, while Smith had eight ground balls and Silverman had two assists in the win. Wenatchee's Alexa Andre had two goals in the loss.

Pinczower's six lifts Overlake lacrosse past Stadium

REDMOND—Zoe Pinczower hit six goals as Overlake cruised to a 17-5 girls high school lacrosse win over Stadium on March 29 at the Overlake School in Redmond. The win was the fourth of the year for the Owls, while Stadium slipped to 1-3. 

Overlake's Kerri Smith had seven ground balls along with three goals of her own to help power the Owls. Sadie Treleven had five goals and Megan Brady had 10 saves for Stadium.
