Meet A Future Leader In Redmond: Grace Tan
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Redmond is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Grace Tan, who are making a positive impact in and around Redmond.
Grace is a standout young leader in Redmond whose academic excellence and passion for mathematics have set her apart. A 2023 National Merit Scholarship Corporation semifinalist and a graduate of Redmond High School’s Class of 2024, Grace has excelled both in the classroom and on the tennis court. Her intellectual curiosity led her to conduct advanced mathematical research while still in high school, co-authoring a paper titled “Coordinate Knot Theory” that was accepted for publication in Involve, a prestigious math journal.
Beyond her impressive academic and research accomplishments, Grace’s drive and dedication continue to shape her journey as she pursues a degree in computer science at Princeton University. Her early work as a Knot Theory Researcher at the Seattle University Mathematics Department from 2021 to 2023 demonstrates a deep commitment to problem-solving and innovation.
