Novelty Hill Road Construction May Cause Delays This Week

Road work scheduled for NE Novelty Hill Rd from 208th Ave NE to W Snoqualmie Valley Rd NE.

From King County Road Services: From Monday, February 27 to approximately Friday, March 3, crews will perform work on sections of NE Novelty Hill Road from 208th Avenue NE to West Snoqualmie Valley Road NE. Traffic will be flagged around the work zone. Operations will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is interim safety work in advance of the road overlay work. Crews will be using a grinder to grind out sections of crumbling asphalt and replace them with hot mix asphalt (temporary square-cut patching). This work is a necessary interim solution to keep the road safe with a longer lasting asphalt repair until overlay work can begin later this summer or early fall. Permanent asphalt overlays should not be made in wet or freezing weather or the work can be compromised. Click HERE to see the map.
