Overnight 520 Lane Closures Continue In Redmond Next Week

Late-night ramp and lane closures will impact some travel near Overlake Village between Sunday and early May.

REDMOND, WA — Drivers with late-night travel plans through the Overlake Village area in the next week will want to plan for some added delays as contractors work on State Route 520 and 148th Avenue Northeast.

Crews will be preparing to realign 148th, paving and restriping lanes, which the Washington State Department of Transportation expects to complete in early May. After that, northbound and southbound traffic will shift to one side of the road, allowing work to begin on a new tunnel under 148th to offer better access to Overlake Village. That project is scheduled for completion in fall 2023.

  • From 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, crews will close the eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to southbound 148th Avenue Northeast.
  • From 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, April 24 to Friday morning, April 29, crews will close the right lane on southbound 148th Avenue Northeast over SR 520.
  • From 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, April 25 to Friday morning, April 29, crews will close the right lane on northbound and southbound 148th Avenue Northeast.
  • From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, April 25, crews will close the eastbound SR 520 on-ramp from northbound 148th Avenue Northeast.
  • From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 26 to Friday morning, April 29, crews will close the eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to southbound 148th Avenue Northeast.
