Do you have an opinion, experience, or expertise you'd like to share? We welcome you to blog on Patch, too!

During the last week, Redmond Patch has welcomed two new bloggers.

Please welcome Carolyn Davids and Suzanne Grogan, who are contributing to our Local Voices section.

In her first post, Davids writes about Swerve Robotics, a community-based youth robotics club. The team will represent Washington state at the World Championships, which will take place in St. Louis, MO in April.

But the team needs help getting there.

"The club has an urgent need to raise money for their upcoming trip," she wrote. "The cost to send the entire club and their robot to the event will be nearly $35,000!" Click here to read more and find out how you can help.

Grogan's first post, Is growth always the way to prosperity?, addressed an entirely different problem. In it she questions the American Dream.

Earlier this week, the Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church held a free screening of the movie "Growth Busters," which tackles the issue of growth and how it affects the environment, she wrote.
