Redmond Baseball One Game Away from State Tournament
The Mustangs picked up a 3-2 win over Woodinville in the opening round of the playoffs on Saturday.

The baseball team is just one game short of making the state tournament following a 3-2 win over Woodinville in the opening round of the KingCo Conference playoffs on Saturday.
The winning effort was led by senior pitcher Adam Cline, who gave up just three hits against the Falcons. For the offense, junior Brent Firth had a solo homerun in the second inning, and senior Patrick McGrath hit in the other two runs.
The Mustangs next face division rival Newport at 4 p.m. Monday at Woodinville High School. The winner of that game will head to the state tournament.
