Redmond Driver, 90, Dies After Car Crash

The woman was injured when her car hit an embankment and flipped.

 

A 90-year-old Redmond woman who was has died, the Redmond Police Department reported Monday.

The woman was driving a 1994 Honda Accord southbound on 160th Avenue Northeast at about 3:25 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a turn on to Northeast 55th Way. The car ran into a rocky embankment and flipped before landing inches away from a home. Police said previously that speed appeared to be a factor.

The name of the woman, who died Friday, and cause of death are expected to be released Monday afternoon, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
