Redmond Police Blotter: Former Safeway Employee Accused of Stealing $2,400 From Store

1:32 p.m., 14100 block of NE 72nd St.: Redmond Police responded to a report of malicious mischief at a residence.

1:48 p.m., 7200 block of W Lake Sammamish Parkway: Redmond PD responded to a malicious mischief complaint at the Waterway Apartments. Graffiti was located on the stairway outside building 4. Damage occurred over the past week.
5:17 p.m., 17200 block of Redmond Way: Redmond PD responded to a theft complaint at the Bear Creek Safeway. Ex-employee was observed stealing $2,400 from the store on June 26. The suspect, a 32-year-old Redmond woman, admitted to the theft, and was arrested, booked and released without incident.

6:04 p.m., Eastbound SR 520 and NE 40th Street: A bicycle was stolen from a local bus stop.
6:25 p.m., 15200 block of Bel-Red Road: Redmond Police responded to a reported motor vehicle theft recovery. Vehicle was returned to owner's possession.
