Redmond Police, Firefighters To Host 'Public Safety Open House'

REDMOND, WA — Looking for a fun, family friendly event? If you said "yes," then you're in luck. Redmond police and firefighters are teaming up to host a public safety open house this weekend.

The event will take place at the Center Court at the Redmond Town Center on Sunday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Children and adults are invited to come interact with and view exciting demonstrations from the fun, professional and caring first responders of the Redmond Fire Department and Redmond Police Department.

"We will have informational handouts available, fire and police vehicles on site, and firefighters and police officers for you to chat with," the Redmond Fire Department posted via its official Facebook page. "We look forward to seeing you!

The event is free to the public and is part of the city's participation in "Welcoming Week," a nationwide celebration of the nation's diverse cultures, from Sept. 10- 19.
