Redmond Police Seek Suspect Wanted In Whole Foods Assault

Police asked for public help Wednesday after a man assaulted someone with a boxcutter inside a Redmond Whole Foods store over the weekend.

REDMOND, WA — Detectives with the Redmond Police Department are looking to speak with witnesses who saw a man attack someone with a boxcutter inside a Whole Foods store, then flee the area. In a social media post Wednesday, police said an unknown man assaulted another man around 8:10 p.m. on Sunday, then took off running northwest through the parking lot.

Police said the man they are searching for is between 5 feet 9 inches tall and 6 feet tall and was wearing a grey or brown sweatshirt and carrying a grey backpack.

Detectives are hoping to hear from anyone who was in the store during the incident or in the parking lot with information that could help them find the person responsible. Anyone with information can call detective James Paulsen at 425-556-2667, or reach out via e-mail.
