LWSD School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

REDMOND, WA — The first day of school in Redmond is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Lake Washington School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

September

• 9/4: First Day of School (Grades 1-12)
• 9/7: First Day of School for Kindergarten
• 9/12: 1.5 hrs. Early Release

October

• 10/15 - 10/16: Half Day Elementary Conferences
• 10/18: Half Day Elementary Conferences
• 10/19: No School (LEAP Day)

November

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/21: Half Day
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/29 and 1/31: Half Day Elementary Conferences

February

• 2/1: Half Day Elementary Conferences
• 2/14 - 2/15: No School (Winter Break)
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/8: No School (LEAP Day)

April

• 4/8 - 4/12: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/24: No School (LEAP Day)
• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/28: Snow Make-up Day

June

• 6/19: Last Day of School/Half Day
