Redmond's Air Quality Remains 'Very Unhealthy': Report
"Please continue to stay inside with windows and doors closed as much as possible," Redmond city officials said Tuesday.
REDMOND, WA—The air quality in Redmond remains “very unhealthy” as of Tuesday, according to data provided by the Washington Department of Ecology. Wednesday's forecast also calls for a continuation of "unhealthy" air.
"Please continue to stay inside with windows and doors closed as much as possible," Redmond city officials posted on its official Facebook page Tuesday.

By the weekend, residents may be able to enjoy outdoor activities. On Saturday, the air quality is predicted to be in the green or "normal" range.

- Stay indoors as much as possible.
- Limit intense outdoor activity.
- Close windows and doors as much as possible.
- Use an air cleaner with a HEPA filter if possible.
- Use fans or an air conditioner (AC) when it's hot, if possible. Set your AC to recirculate.
- Don't pollute the indoor air. Don't smoke, use candles, or vacuum. Avoid frying and broiling when cooking indoors.
Fire marshals in King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomish counties have also issued fire safety burn bans prohibiting outdoor burning, including recreational fires.
