The crash happened at about 7:20 a.m. in the 15300 block of Redmond Way when a semi-truck attempting to make a wide right turn struck a Ford Focus as both vehicles were traveling westbound. Police spokesman Jim Bove said the driver of the Focus was speeding and attempted to get by in the right lane after the truck had already began turning.
“You can see the skid marks in the picture,” Bove said.

The driver of the truck, which was carrying dry goods, was not injured.
Bove said police are continuing to investigate the collision and that lanes on westbound Redmond Way near 152nd Avenue Northeast could remain blocked until around 11:30 a.m. Delays are also expected on 148th Avenue Northeast and West Lake Sammamish Parkway throughout the morning.
