Update: Theno's Dairy Confirms It Will Not Reopen
Owner Doug Bloor announced the closure today on Facebook.

Update, 12:30 p.m. May 29: Theno's owner Doug Bloor provided some background on the closure in a letter to the editor of The Woodinville Weekly.
Bloor cited a recent decline in sales, ongoing road construction near the shop, and the high cost of necessary physical repairs at Theno's as three of the main reasons the family has decided to close for good.
"Many people have asked me why we are closed and the answer is no one thing led to this—rather a combination of factors has created a situation that is now unworkable," Bloor said in his letter.

Original post: Much to the dismay of its loyal fans, Theno's Dairy announced today it will not reopen to customers.
"This is a sad day for me and my family but I must let all of our Facebook followers know that we are unable to reopen. The challenges we had were too large to overcome," owner Doug Bloor posted on the ice cream parlor's Facebook page earlier this morning.
Redmond Patch has attempted to contact the Bloor family and will update this post if more information becomes available. Doug Bloor's Facebook post did not provide a reason for the closure.
As we reported last week, many Theno's customers have been asking about the shop's status for several months. ( for earlier story.) Theno's had been open for nearly 70 years and was a summertime tradition for many Eastside residents. ( for our feature story from last summer.)
