Wastemobile Visits Redmond Friday Through Sunday
King County's Wastemobile will be at The Home Depot for three days, allowing for the free drop-off of hazardous materials and batteries.
REDMOND, WA — King County's Wastemobile comes to Redmond Friday, giving residents a quick, free and easy way to drop off hazardous items.
The Wastemobile will be stationed outside The Home Depot on NE 76th St. until Sunday. Visitors are welcome to bring batteries and hazardous household waste, including oil-based paint, batteries, antifreeze and pesticides. Other accepted items include fertilizer, charcoal, fire extinguishers, light bulbs and gasoline. Business owners are also welcome to dispose of certain products.

Organizers ask that visitors"
- Do not mix products
- Keep products in their original containers
- Label products that are not in their original containers
- Secure products so they do not spill or leak
- Store products away from the passenger compartment of your vehicle and keep them separate from items you wish to keep
- Stay in your vehicle during unloading at the Wastemobile
Operated by King County's Hazardous Waste Management Program, the Wastemobile has been in service since 1989, helping collect more than 17,000 tons of household waste from 500,000 residents, according to the county.
