Three Teens Caught After Escape At Snoqualmie Detention Facility

Three of the five teens who escaped from the Echo Glen Children's Center were caught Thursday in Kent, according to the sheriff's office.

KING COUNTY, WA β€” King County investigators have apprehended three teens of the five who escaped from a juvenile detention facility in Snoqualmie after assaulting staffers and stealing a state vehicle Wednesday morning, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials said a 15-year-old boy who was convicted of murder last year was one of five escapees who fled the Echo Glen Children's Center in Snoqualmie in a gray Ford Fusion. Officers from the Kent Police Department helped King County's major crimes unit take the boy into custody around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

By Thursday evening, the sheriff's office confirmed two other teens were arrested without incident, with assistance from the Kent and Kirkland police departments.
