Update: Children from Amber Alert Safe at Grandmother's Home

A woman who stabbed her two daughters' father in Shoreline is still at large.

Update: The King County Sheriff's Office reports that the twoΒ girls from this afternoon's Amber Alert have been found safe at the victim's mom's house in Seattle. They were dropped off by family member of suspect. The suspect, Doreen Starrish, is still being sought.

The King County Sheriff’s Office is issuing an Amber Alert for a woman who stabbed a man and fled with their two children this morning.

Detectives have identified Doreen Starrish as a suspect in the stabbing that occurred in the 1500 block of NE 190thΒ St around 8:30 a.m. in Shoreline this morning.Β  Detectives said Starrish took her 3 and 7-year-old daughters that had been with their father (the victim) at the time of the stabbing.

A 2000 Lincoln Navigator used by the suspect to leave the scene of the stabbing was recovered around 2 p.m. near 145th St. and 32nd Ave. N.E. in Lake City. The mother, Doreen Starrish, 28, and her two children still have not been found.Β

The father who was stabbed in the chest by the mother in critical condition at a local hospital, KOMO-TV is reporting.

The children, both girls, 7-year-old Helen Smith and 3-year-old Alice Smith, were taken by Starrish, who does not have custody of the kids, Sgt. Cindi West told KOMO.

The girls are of Native American descent, according to the Amber Alert. Helen is 4 feet, 4 inches tall weighing about 65 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. No other description was available of Alice.Β 

Starrish has brown eyes and is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds, according to the Amber Alert.Β 

If you see Starrish please do not approach.Β  Call 911 immediately.
