Firefighters "Fill the Boot" Fundraiser Friday, June 15

When you go through the intersection of 228th Avenue and Inglewood Hill Road Friday, June 15, you will no doubt run into -- not literally, of course -- a committed group of firefighters raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

This year's "Fill-the-Boot" fundraiser will take place between 2 and 6 p.m. at what should be a very busy intersection.

Please be on the lookout for firefighters holding out a boot. They'll be weaving their way through the lanes of traffic asking for donations.

This effort is being organized by their firefighter's union, IAFF Local 2878. Please give generously!

From Local 2878: We will have fill the boot on June 15th. There will be firefighters out collecting for MDA in Sammamish, Issaquah and North Bend that day. We appreciate your support!!
