
Two students from Sammamish have received the honor of being named National Merit Semifinalists,Β administrators said Monday.
The students are: Blake Crinklaw of and Benjamin C. Keller of .
TheyΒ are among 16,000 high school seniors in the country who qualified by scoring very highΒ on the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

The students canΒ now competeΒ for about 8,300 National Merit Scholarships. The total amount availableΒ of all the scholarships is about $34 million to $36 million, administrators said.
The district had 25 National Merit Semifinalists. In the district, Redmond High School had 14Β semifinalists,Β the largest number in the district.
