Sammamish Tweens and Teens: Design a Book Cover

Sammamish residents who are between 11- and 18-years-old: Now is the time to blend your creative artistic skills with your love of reading.

The and Friends of Sammamish Library are sponsoring a book cover art event - "Cover Art and Cupcakes." Design a cover for your favorite book or an imaginary one. Drop off the cover at the Sammamish Library by Friday.

You can get a blank form at the Sammamish until this Friday. Then, on Friday, Aug. 19 at 2 p.m., return to the Sammamish Library to see your piece of art hung on the walls with others from young people in the city.

Plus, you can nibble on delicious cupcakes, while you look at your art and covers from other tweens and teens.
