Three Eastside Firefighters Promoted to Leadership Ranks

Eastside Fire & Rescue is pleased to announce the promotion of three firefighters to various leadership ranks.Β 

β€œEach officer distinguished himself through a formal process, but more importantly there was a consistent display of positive contribution throughout his career,” says Fire Chief Lee Soptich.Β  The list of honorees is as follows:

  • Captain Craig Hooper joined the fire department in 1991, has been promoted to Battalion Chief.
  • Lieutenant Jonathan Parkinson joined the fire department in 1998, has been promoted to Captain.
  • Firefighter Daniel DeGidio joined the fire department in 1987, has been promoted to Lieutenant.

The three new officers exemplify the best candidates that went through the promotional testing process.Β  A formal ceremony will be held in their honor on Friday, June 8, at 9:00 a.m. at the Headquarters Office – 175 Newport Way NW in Issaquah.Β

These firefighters have embodied the core values of the fire service and all the newly promoted firefighters will be assigned to various fire stations throughout the Agency.
