Wanted: Energetic, Enthusiastic Art Commissioners for the City of Sammamish

The Sammamish Arts Commission is currently seeking volunteers from the community to serve on the SAC board in 2012. New commissioners can look forward to enriching the City of Sammamish by planning fun, interesting art exhibitions and events.

The Sammamish Art Commission creates programs with a focus on fine and cultural arts. Community members with with an enthusiastic appreciation of art, sharp organizational skills, and a penchant for fun are encouraged to apply. Future Art Commisioners can offer their talents for one or more of the following types of activities:

• Exhibit planning
• Event planning
• Graphic design
• Grant writing
• Archiving
• Bookkeeping
• Community liaison
• Artist liaison  

“Art is one of the many things in Sammamish that make it such a wonderful place to live -- the 15th best place in the U.S. according to CNN and Money Magazine,” says Daphne Robinson, Sammamish Art Commission Chair. “We are reaching out and hope some of our citizens will consider lending their skills to help us enrich our great community. “

Applications will be accepted through Dec. 16. Interested applicants can apply on the City website at https://www.ci.sammamish.wa.us/.
