Cedar Trails Elementary student became National dance finalist
Stefaniia Chudova (10) of Issaquah and her partner Felix Sindora (13) of Edmonds won 5th place at the US Nationals junior Rhythm division.

The second week of March marks a significant occasion for amateur DanceSport enthusiasts across the nation, as the National DanceSport Championships take center stage at the BYU Marriott Center in Provo, Utah. This annual event attracts a diverse group of competitors from all corners of the United States, ranging from young dancers of just 5 years old to seasoned seniors.
This yearβs championship is already buzzing with excitement, and among the standout stories is that of two young dancers from Washington State. Stefaniia Chudova, a talented 10-year-old from Issaquah, paired with her partner Felix Sindora, a 13-year-old from Edmonds, has made waves by securing a spot as finalists in the US National Junior Rhythm Championship. Out of a competitive field of 15 couples, Stefaniia and Felix proudly placed 5th, advancing past the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.
What makes their achievement even more remarkable is Stefaniiaβs age; she was one of the youngest competitors in her group, which typically includes dancers aged 12 to 15. This young duo represents the NIKA International DanceSport Academy, located in Bellevue, WA, a prestigious institution known for nurturing numerous US and World finalists and champions.
