Looking for a great way to get involved and help your community?

Serving on one of the Sammamish’s boards or commissions can be a fascinating and rewarding experience.

WHY SERVE?

Sammamish’s Boards and Commissions are designed to give residents and business owners a voice in their government and allow them to help with the decisions that shape the quality of life for our community. Participation on a board or commission is one of the most effective steps an individual can take in becoming an active voice in their government.

In addition, the skills, commitment, talent, knowledge, and enthusiasm of our community board and commission volunteers enhance those of our elected officials and help ensure that our local government is truly addressing the needs of the Sammamish community through the services, planning, and decision making provided by each board.

WHere can I serve?

The City has openings for volunteer positions on the following Commissions:

Arts Commission (four-year terms)

Position 3 (1/31/26)

Position 4 (1/31/26)

Position 7 (1/31/24)

Position 9 (1/31/24)

Beaver Lake Management District Advisory Board (five-year terms)

Five vacancies, all for terms through 12/31/26

Human Services Commission (four-year terms)

Position 4 (1/31/24)

Position 7 (1/31/26)

Parks and Recreation Commission (four-year terms)

Position 4 (1/31/26)

Position 5 (1/31/26)

Position 6 (1/31/23)
