The City anticipates the contractor will begin work this week to rewire the street lights on Issaquah Fall City Road between Klahanie and 247th Pl after a wire theft in mid-January. The junction boxes where the wires were stolen from will beΒ reinforcedΒ for more security.

Unfortunately, a secondΒ wire theft occurred last weekendΒ on Issaquah Fall City Road between 247th Pl and Issaquah Pine Lake Road. The City will work with the contractor to also restore and secure this area as well.Β

The City isΒ coordinating efforts with Sammamish Police on preventingΒ wire theft incidents from reoccurring. As always, please call 9-1-1 to report suspicious activity.Β

Street lights are currently out on Issaquah Fall City Road between Klahanie Blvd and 247thΒ Pl SE, as a result of wire theft from eight different junction boxes.

The City of Sammamish is working with police, insurance claims, and scheduling contractors to make the repair as quickly as possible. The City is also looking into how to secure the junction boxes to prevent further wire theft.
