Editor's Note: Jeanne Gustafson is Your "New" Local Editor

Though I've been working here at Sammamish-Issaquah Patch for about six months, today marks my official transition from Guest Editor to Local Editor, and I want to extend a thanks to everyone for welcoming me into our Patch community.

As a semi-recent transplant from "the other Eastside" of Washington, since I've been at Sammamish-Issaquah Patch I've learned so much about both cities, and I've seen this Patch site grow in some very positive ways.

Helping launch was a happy day for me, as I now "o-fish-ally"--to borrow a Salmon Days phrase--live in a Patch town, too. And seeing everyone take advantage of the unique Patch platform to share community announcements, photos, and events is a daily joy, as I watch your contributions make the site stronger and more useful as a source of community information.

So thanks, Sammamish & Issaquah, for welcoming me. It's good to be home.
