Washington Governor Jay Inslee has directed that flags at all Washington state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff beginning today, April 16, 2013, as <a href="http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/04/16/presidential-proclamation-honoring-victims-tragedy-boston-massachusetts" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">per President Barack Obama's proclamation</a> as a mark of respect for the victims of yesterday's tragic events in Boston, Massachusetts. Flags should remain at half-staff until sunset/close of business on Saturday, April 20. Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition. Pictured to the right is a photo of the flag flying at half-mast at Sammamish City Hall.
