If you bought a Soleil portable fan heater at the Home Depot in Issaquah or Redmond, or at any Home Depot, you'll want to return it.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, theΒ Soleil portable fan heater'sΒ plastic housing can melt, deform and catch fire during use, posing a fire hazard.

Home Depot has received nearly 500 reports of the fans melting. The storeΒ will refund your money if you return the item to the store.

According to the CPSC website, "this recall involves Soleil portable fan heaters with model number LH-707. The model number is printed on the underside of the fan on a sticker.Β  The circular table fans are white plastic and are 1500 watts. Soleil is printed on the center front of the fan. The fans have a thermostat control on the bottom left front and a power and fan speed control on the bottom right front. The fans measure about 8 inches in diameter by 8Β½ inches tall."

The fans were sold atΒ Home Depot stores nationwide from September 2012 through May 2013 for about $15.
