Issaquah School District: Gov. Jay Inslee Declares January School Board Recognition Month

Thank you to the Issaquah School District Board of Directors for your work all year round on behalf of our students, staff and community! Gov. Jay Inslee proclaimed January as School Board Recognition month in the state of Washington, in honor of school board directors throughout the state’s 295 school districts.

“School directors play a crucial role in promoting student learning and achievement by creating a vision, establishing policies and budgets, and setting clear standards of accountability for all involved,” Inslee said in the proclamation, and noted that school directors are “outstanding volunteers and champions for public education.”
