Issaquah Skate Park Construction Gets Underway

Construction on a skate park at Tibbetts Valley Park in Issaquah got underway this week.

ISSAQUAH - The city broke ground this week on a new skate park going in at Tibbets Valley Park. Construction began on May 9. The park, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2017, was funded in part by Issaquah, King County, and by over $20,000 in private donations. The 10,500 square-foot park will feature a large pool and other obstacles for skateboarders, BMX bikers, and - maybe - a few rollerbladers.

Located at Tibbetts Valley Park, our community's new Skate Park will complement a popular sports complex that serves athletes and visitors of all ages and abilities. The project is anticipated for completion by late 2017.

Throughout planning and design, we've worked together as a community to create a fun, safe place for skaters of all skill levels and their families.
