Issaquah's Pet Parade Returns For July 4 After COVID Hiatus

Issaquah's Down Home 4th of July will be in full swing this Independence Day for the first time in a while. Here's what to know.

ISSAQUAH, WA β€” Down Home 4th of July celebrations return to Issaquah this year, bringing neighbors a free, family-friendly way to spend the early hours of Independence Day. The annual event, hosted by the Downtown Issaquah Association, kicks off in the morning with the Kids 'n Pets Parade and continues into the afternoon with live music, food trucks and other festivities at Veteran's Memorial Field.

  • Where: Rainier Boulevard North/Veterans' Memorial Park Field (Issaquah)
  • Schedule:
    • 11 a.m.: Kids 'n Pets Parade begins.
    • 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.: Family-fun activities at Veteran's Memorial Field.
  • Sign up for a spot in the parade here.

With a little more than three weeks to go until the holiday, residents still have plenty of time to sign up to participate in the parade, with spots assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. This year's parade will also include a costume contest with prizes, judged among several categories, including best patriotic attire and dog and owner lookalikes.

Parade check-ins begin at 9 a.m. near the staging area at Rainier Boulevard North, and the parade will run through downtown and conclude at Veterans' Memorial Park Field.
