Alien invasions, science shows, and raccoon tunes are just some of the fun, free things you can find at the Issaquah Library this month.

There's no shortage of fun at the this summer, for children, teens, and adult. Here's the library's July lineup:

Presented by Alex Zerbe, Professional β€œZaniac."
Family program, all ages welcome with adult.

Play & Learn

Friday, July 6, 13, 20 and 27, 10:30am

Newborn to age 5 with adult.

Have lots of fun with stories, music and activities. The Play & Learn group will be conducted primarily in English but the facilitator is a bilingual English/Chinese speaker.

Alien Invasion Music and Stories
Monday, July 9, 1pm and 2pm

Presented by Rick Huddle.
Family program, all ages welcome with adult.
An evil genius is out to destroy all the planets in the Milky Way – including Earth. Help save the galaxy in this multi-media show of music and stories.

Dare to Dream Storytelling
Thursday, July 19, 7pm

Presented by Whitman Story Sampler.
Family program, all ages welcome with adult.
Storytellers Jen and Nat share tales of little heroes who dream big! Jump up and join in as they tell lively folktales mixed with music and movement.

Dancing Pajamas Concert
Monday, July 23, 1pm and 2pm

Presented by Nancy Stewart.
Family program, all ages welcome with adult.
Pajamas are welcome, but there won’t be any sleeping in this concert. Just songs about howling coyotes, fuzzy slippers, a monster or two and, of course, lots of singing and dancing!

Raccoon Tunes and Possum Tales Music Show
Monday, July 30, 1pm and 2pm
Presented by Eric Ode.
Ages 3 and older with adult.
As you are crawling into bed, other critters in the neighborhood are just beginning to stir. Join this children's author and award-winning songwriter for a high-participation nighttime celebration featuring puppets and poetry, songs and silliness.

A fully-proctored practice PSAT will show students what to expect in a test-like environment.

Test Results & Strategy Workshop

Students will receive a comprehensive analysis of their performance on the test detailing individual strengths and weaknesses.

Tuesday, July 31, 7pm

Presented by Norm Hollingshead.
Turandot is Puccini’s last opera. He died after finishing the first scene of the last act, leaving the final scene to be completed by another hand. But there is enough vintage Puccini in Turandot to keep audiences thrilled, ever since opening night in 1926.
