ARTWALK & MUSIC STROLL, July 13, 5-8 pm
Olde Town Issaquah a place to dine, shop, stroll and listen to live music.
Downtown Issaquah is taking a lively bow to Summer with the re-emergence of local treasures, ArtWalk & Music Stroll. Shop, dine and take a leisurely walk through the historic Olde Town as Front Street is transformed into an avenue of live outdoor performances every 2nd Saturday from 5pm-8pm, August and September. Historically Hip Artisan Market will be front and center. The summer-long celebration of Issaquah’s bevy of local artists offers a cultural boon for both locals and visitors to enjoy the best of what Downtown Issaquah has to offer. Issaquah’s designation as a Creative Arts District is recognition of the multitude of talented artists who call Issaquah home. Dozens will be celebrated in Historically Hip Downtown throughout the season. Plan to spend the full three hours listening and while retail shopping and dining at food favorites along the way.
New for 2022, ‘Nature Walks’, a climate action series in partnership with local non profits will create a delightful venue to mingle, learn, and explore an important topic in Pedestrian Park (The Trellises). The Nature Walk series combines music, animated multimedia video and images, and spoken word to evoke the energies of nature and share inspirational climate care. John Chmaj, professional musician, and multimedia artist has composed dozens of music/video pieces celebrating the beauty and power of nature, and to warn about the consequences of climate change and motivate positive action. These compositions journey through the elements and shapes in the natural world in sight and sound. They are accompanied in many cases with
evocative lyrics and musical solos that match the mood and energy of the visuals. Thank you to our sponsor: Kaleidoscope School of Music for sponsoring the ArtWalk & Music Strolls.
