Kari Sand Named As Interim Replacement For Departing Sammamish City Attorney Lisa Marshall

City Manager Dave Rudat announces the appointment of Kari Sand as interim City Attorney for the city of Sammamish. Ms. Sand will take over the responsibilities of Lisa Marshall, who is leaving the City of Sammamish to rejoin Kenyon Disend.

Sand is a member of law firm Ogden, Murphy & Wallace (OMW), focusing on municipal law and advising numerous cities for over 20 years. Prior to joining OMW, Sand was the in-house City Attorney for the City of Mercer Island. Sand is no stranger to Sammamish, having worked with the Department of Community Development staff over a 10 year period when she was of counsel with Kenyon Disend.

Sand, who is also a Sammamish resident, has already started in a transition period with Marshall. Marshallβs last day with the City of Sammamish is December 31, 2021.
